Lake Aquarium is only 15 km from the Skopje city centre in Macedonia. It is located in a beautiful, ecologically clean area away from the city noise. The communication to Aquarium is via the Old Veles Road or via the motorway. It is only 3 to 5 km from the Airport and/or the Bellevue Hotel. This lake represents the centre of Carp fishing with the unique motto Catch and Release to pass the wealth to the future generations. The water mass exists for more than 35 years, some 20 years ago it was populated with Crucian Carp and some common Carp. Until 2004 it had water plants growth, was an abandoned pond, left to the mercy of irresponsible anglers.

In 2004 a small group of enthusiasts of this type of fishing and the owners, with their own effort set off to arrange the lake itself, fenced it, cleaned up the surroundings and the lake bed, arranged the fishing positions to world standards, planted trees and urbanised the space (electricity, water). The analysed quality of the water is of the 2nd category with high percentage of Oxygen. Water is supplied to the lake from the underground waters from which the surrounding population is being supplied as well. The water surface is 28.000 m² , depth is 1-8 m, with annual variations of the water temperature suitable for the Carp species. The total fenced beautiful area is 6 hectares.

This is a marvellous place for fishing and resting. On the shore itself there is a fishing club where delicious food is prepared and drinks are served.
