Aquarium Carp Open 2008 II

After more than two months following our first annual team carp championship here is the new:

INTERNATIONAL CARP CUP - AQUARIUM OPEN II 13 – 15 june, 2008г.

Lake Aquarium promotes itself through these international competitions, where carp teams from the surrounding Balkans areas take part. Each competition brings us new teams, new friendships as well as developing the carp fishing style under the motto "CATCH and RELEASE".

In this competition took part teams that surround Macedonia, from Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Kosovo. Teams whose relationship towards the fish and comaraderie formed the basis for taking part in the championship. It was a true enjoyment to view real professionals in this sports discipline. It all started at 12:00 pm on Friday 13th June 2008 and lasted until 10:00 am on Sunday 15th June 2008, a total of 46 hours.

The weather was not on the side of the competitors, but the persistence of all teams brought about a solid catch.

Below are the compositions of the teams, their positions and results:

Total catch weight was 265,95 kg of fish, over 50 pieces, out of which 24 were grass carp. Average weight per caught species was 2,890 kg.

The cup for biggest caught carp was rewarded to Labinot Kreiziu.

Besides the cups and the medals for the first three teams, awards were given by MELEG BAIT, CARP SYSTEM and JPC.

MELEG BAIT products were distributed among all teams and competitors. Our media sponsor LOVECKO OKO (Hunter's Eye) Productions prepared rich video material.

Aquarium Carp Open 2008

The traditional international carp cup AQUARIUM Open 2008 fulfilled all expectations.

It was characterised by the excellent socialising between the competitors, each position had a catch ... as well as many other things to be talked about until the next meeting.

A total of ten teams took part, including one from Serbia, three from Bulgaria, one (the winning) from Greece and 5 teams from Macedonia.

The event was followed by Hobby TV B - the Bulgarian satellite channel.

Results are as follows

5. ALEX CARP Team - BULGARIA Aleks and Ilian Georgiev 13,18 kg

6. SUKI CARP Team - BULGARIA captain Plamen Pencev / Vasil Atanasov / Ilian Draganov 11,96 kg

7. SERBIA CARP Team – SERBIA Dejan Beric / Aca Vujisic 7,95 kg

8. Bojnicar CT - MACEDONIA Vasil Nedelkovski 7,42 kg

9. “8” Carp Team - MACEDONIA Velian Jagev / Jovica Ilievski 5,42 kg

10. DRASHKO CARP Team - BULGARIA Hristo Krastanov 3,82 kg

Caught 62 fish of which 48 carp and 14 grass carp. Total weight 172,47 kg with average catch of 2,78 kg.

When comapred with the previous opening of the season, there was higher maximum and average catch.

International Carp Cup Aquarium Open 2008

Traditionally this year, at the Aquarium lake, between 4th and 6th of April 2008, the International Carp Cup Aquarium Open 2008 will be held as the opening event of the Carp fishing season.

Experienced and proven carp teams have been announced from Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia.

Besides the hunting-fishing production of the National Channel, the competition shall be followed by the Bulgarian TV production Hobby TV of BulSat, which covers Europe and may be seen as far as Turkey and Israel.
